Bikes We Like

Velo Orange

We’re stoked to say that we are officially a Velo Orange dealer. From frames and complete bikes to racks, fenders, and components, Velo Orange does it all. We’re grateful to start stocking their products and pleased to say they fit right in with us here at Keystone, literally. Nick rode a Velo Orange 750 miles to complete Paris-Brest-Paris in 2019, and Woody has been using a Polyvalent for brevets, camping trips, and overnight dyno rides. Let us know how many Neutrinos you want us to order for you and your friends.

Kona

Kona has an awesome line up of bikes that we can't wait to bring to you. From the adventure ready Rove to the utilitarian Dew, Kona has the lineup of bikes that will let you shred, commute or travel far and wide. Ryan’s first serious mountain bike was a brand new 1998 Kona Pahoehoe. He rode it in multiple junior XC races in the New England leg of the NORBA circuit back in the day (he’s old).

Soma

If you like modern bikes that have a classic aesthetic, then you'll be excited to hear that we are dealers for both Soma Fabrications & New Albion Cycles! Soma offers quality steel framesets for a huge variety of riders: track, road, classic rando, adventure, mountain, bikepacking, even a beautiful mixte frame! Both Woody and Ryan have owned Soma Smoothies, about ten years apart from each other.

Crust Bikes

We love Crust Bikes for their ride quality, thoughtful design, versatility, and general vibe. These bikes are equally at home in all kinds of conditions. Zack’s go-to “down for whatever” bike is his Bombora: rolls great on the Belmont Plateau Trolley Trail, tackling the gnarly climbs of the Unpaved route, or just over to Lemon Hill for Coffee Outside.

Nittany Mountain Works

We have nothing but love for Nittany Mountain Works. Their bags are sewn right here in PA in a solar powered facility by folks who genuinely put care and thought into every stitch. They’ve got bags that make every ride that much more enjoyable, and are extremely user friendly. So many color choices it can actually be hard to settle on color scheme! Pretty sure every one in the co-op owns at least one Nittany bag, if not more.

Swift Industries

Based in the Pacific Northwest, Swift Industries makes a great line of bags to suit your adventure. Both the Zeitgeist saddle/handlebar bag and the Sugarloaf basket bag have been favorites among KBC shoppers. We can barely keep them on the shelves!

MSR

The MSR Pocket Rocket (now on its 2nd iteration) is the go-to stove for folks getting into camping, bikepacking, on road touring, through hiking, etc. Affordable cookware, compact water filters, alpine tents, heck they even make a chlorine maker. That’s pretty rad.

Snow Peak

Japanese designed fine and light titanium goods. From lightweight coffee outside components to portable cutlery sets and blowtorches, they truly make it all. Great gear to take along on an s240 or for giving the GDMBR an honest shake.
